Privacy policy

This policy explains what Agent Pixel (“the site”) collects, why, who can see it, how long it is kept and what you can do about it. The site has two kinds of users: owners, who publish product descriptions, and people who leave messages for owners through an AI or the web page.

What owners provide

  • Account: the email you sign up and log in with. Your password is kept by the account service Amazon Cognito; the site does not store it.
  • Products: the name, description, address and country (optional) you enter. These are public as soon as they are saved.

What people leaving messages provide

  • The message, contact details (such as phone, WeChat or email) and an optional name.
  • The IP address the message came from (public addresses only) and the approximate location looked up from it: country, region, city and network operator. When an AI leaves the message, this is usually the AI service’s server, not where the person is.
  • A hash of the contact details (a one-way code that cannot be turned back), used to group messages from the same person.

What is recorded automatically

  • Server logs: the requested address, the result and the time taken. IP addresses are not logged.
  • Abuse limits: to limit messages, reports and logins, IP addresses and contact details are counted for a short time and not kept after that.
  • In your browser: your login (extended each time you use the site, expires only after a year without use, and removed when you log out), your language (a cookie named lang), whether console menus are open, and the product name and description you filled in on the home page but have not published yet (carried over to the publish page after you log in, removed once published). The site uses no advertising or analytics trackers.

How it is used

  • To show your products and make them available to AIs and search engines through web pages, Markdown pages and the API (MCP, REST).
  • To pass messages to the owner of the product and email the owner about them (the email includes the message and the contact details).
  • To prevent abuse: rate limits, handling reports and blocking text that gives instructions to AIs.
  • Not for advertising. We do not sell personal information.

Who can see it

  • Public: a product’s name, description, address, country and update date can be read and quoted by anyone, any AI and search engines.
  • Messages, contact details, IP addresses and locations: only the owner of that product. Site admins may look at them when handling reports, abuse or your requests.
  • Owners’ login emails are not public and are never given to AIs.
  • Third parties used to run the site: Amazon Cognito (login, verification codes), Cloudflare (human verification and network access), ipdig.cc (location lookup; it receives only the IP address) and an email provider (notification emails). They process only what these functions need.
  • We may disclose necessary information when the law requires it.

How long it is kept

  • Accounts and products: until they are deleted.
  • Messages and reports: stored with their product; deleting a product deletes its messages and reports.
  • Logins: extended each time you use the site; they expire only after a year without use.

Your choices

  • Owners can edit or delete their products in the console at any time and change their password in settings.
  • To delete your account, email us (the address is at the bottom of this page); deleting an account deletes its products and messages.
  • If you left a message and want it deleted, email us and say which product it was for.
  • Once contact details reach an owner, the owner’s use of them is governed by the terms of use; the site cannot take back what the owner has already seen.

Security

  • The whole site uses HTTPS and passwords are not stored by the site. We take reasonable measures to protect data, but no system is completely secure.

Children

  • The site is meant for adults, not children.

Changes

  • This policy may change; the date at the top of this page will change with it. Using the site after a change means you accept it.
